Have you seen the Challenges being thrown around by Kentucky Fried Chicken and El Pollo Loco towards each other lately? 

I admit, they're pretty funny to watch!

My favorite part is that WE are benefiting from their out and out "War of the Words" with each other!

Remember the FREE "Grilled" Chicken at Kentucky Fried Chicken?

For those of you NOT in the dark, here's the latest video from El Pollo Loco aimed at Kentucky Fried Chicken's "Beefy Chicken"

Living in So. Cal there is a plethora of El Pollo Loco's, and their food is ALWAYS great, AND FRESH!! Not to mention more AFFORDABLE than KFC!

I did get to try the KFC "grilled" chicken, and must admit, it was AWFUL!

You can definitely tell the difference between KFC's "grilled" chicken, and El Pollo Locos' "flame grilled" chicken!! 

I looked up for myself the Ingredients List on KFC's homepage and sure enough, El Pollo Loco's claim is 100% TRUE!!

KFC FREE MEAL UPDATE

Apparently some people have been running into problems when they tried to get their FREE 2 piece meal at KFC using the coupon from the Oprah site. Here is what Leah at Let's Save! had to say, "My sister's husband went into KFC today to get his free meal. When he handed the cashier the coupon she said that they were not accepting codes that ended in 1234. This is the coupon that was on Oprah's website yesterday. He did not get his free meal :("

She looked into the matter, and this is what she found out via Oprah's website:

"If you have concerns about using multiple coupons with the same code number:

All the PDF coupons downloaded from Oprah.com on the evening of May 5 have the same bar code.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the coupon and instructions on Oprah.com, these coupons will be accepted by participating KFC restaurants in the U.S.

If you downloaded coupons and they were not accepted at a KFC restaurant:
Please call 1-800-CALL-KFC.
Our Customer Service representatives will assist you and also take the information about your experience and follow up with the restaurant.
Get a list of participating locations.

They should take the coupon even though it ends in 1234. You might want to have the 1-800 number handy when you go to KFC."

(If you live in Long Beach, Ca. the KFC on Atlantic, Bellflower, Anaheim, 7th St., Willow, PCH, and Artesia are ALL particiaptating!  Make sure to take the 800 number with you in case you run into any problems!)
