Kmart and Internet Coupons...

One of A Thrifty Mom's readers emailed her this question, 

I heard that Kmart will not double internet coupons. Is this new or has that always been the policy? I was so excited to hear that Las Vegas is actually getting to double coupons because we never get any from Albertsons or any other grocery store. Plus the majority of my high coupon values are internet printables.

I looked over the produce deals, and frankly I don't think any of them are a great deal, personally speaking. I get 99% of my produce at Buy Low. They have unbeatable prices, and a good quality and selection of fresh produce. Whatever I don't find at Buy Low, I usually find at Fresh and Easy in the clearance sections! I purchase A LOT of fresh fruits and vegetables for my family weekly, and I spend under $20 to feed my family of 6!!

Weekly Deals Coming Late Tonight!

Hi everyone!

I haven't forgotten to post the deals. I promise! I will most likely be posting this weeks deals for Vons and Buy Low late tonight. 

There have been more pressing issues going on lately, and frankly, family must always come first.

My daughter who had Mono is getting sick again, sleeping a lot again, and they retested her today to see what in the world is going on!

My youngest son they have NO IDEA what is going on with him! He's had some issues since birth, that they can't explain. Last week they tested him for Cystic Fibrosis. THANK THE LORD the results came back NEGATIVE! Whew! However, they also tested him for Celiac's Disease, and though the results came back negative, his immunoglobin results were incredibly abnormal, which would in turn cause a false negative for the Celiac's. SO today we were once again at the Dr's office, and then the Lab getting even  more testing and blood work done. The Dr. also suspects he is suffering from an immunodeficiancy and which would also cause a lot of his symptoms. 

So, right now, things are a bit crazy for me!! On top of homeschool 3 of my 4 children are sick, and constantly needing to go to the Dr. or to the Lab for testing. I pray there is nothing serious going on, and that this is just another trial we must endure, the refiner's fire so to speak. 

I apologize to you who read this regularly and are disappointed that I'm not posting the amount of deals I was posting before. Once things get back to normal, my blogging schedule will too get back to normal.

A Quick Update...

Hi everyone... 

Thank you SO much for your patience these past couple of weeks. I know I've been absent, but there has been good reason...

My computer had to be taken into the Apple store to be fixed, and what was initially supposed to be a 1-2 day fix, turned into a 10 day "fix" but in actuality they didn't fix my computer... [growl]

Not sure what the next step is, but it might involve taking my computer back in. We are getting our old mac mini back, so hopefully I will have that up and running when my iMac has to go back in so I can post this time! (It's hard not posting for you guys, and talking to you guys!)

On the health front our family just seems to be going through the ringer this year! I do have good news though! My 5 year old daughter (Sweet Pea) had her last blood draw last week, and her results were good! She is almost completely back to normal! Including her liver!! 

Praise God!

 No more mono, no more hepatitis. Truly answered prayer!

However I did have to take my 7 year old daughter and my 1 year old son to the doctor's as well last week, and I am STILL waiting on all of the lab work! I don't want to say anything prematurely, but what the doctors are suspecting my sons condition is, is not good, and chronic. I was supposed to get the results Friday, but the Dr was "consulting" a specialist. I called her this morning... hopefully I will get results today. 

Memorial Day weekend, my husband, daughters, and I camped out at the Del Mar Race/Fair Grounds for Spirit West Coast. My husband was drumming for his friend's band, and they ended up being the busiest band at Spirit West Coast this year, with a total of 7 performances!

We had a lot of fun, but when we got home late Monday night, we were exhausted! It's taken us pretty much this whole week to get back to "normal". Hence, another reason I've been so quiet.

Last Wednesday was my Sweet Pea's birthday. She's 6 now! I can't believe it! Her Grandpa picked her up for the day, and she got to go shopping, get her nails done, and have a make-up horse lesson at the Heartland Ranch, where they surprised her with a mini Birthday party. For dinner she wanted to go to the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney. So a few family and friends joined us, and we had a good time. I still can't get over the fact that my baby girl, my #2, and youngest daughter is S-I-X!! 

Tomorrow is Tuesday, and I will be jumping back in full swing with my blog posting.

I'm hoping to get some willing guest bloggers in the future, during those times where I must be away. We'll see....

So thank you all for your concerned emails. I appreciate your prayers, and thoughts!

Just the fact that I came home to over 147 emails was awesome, and lifted my spirits!!

($42.25 was spent on Diapers/Wipes which doesn't come out of our $300 a month food budget I spent $35.05 on all of the food products, and using coupons got 29 items FREE and 32 items for under $1.00!!)

I took pictures of the initial damage, but was a bit angry when I discovered red, purple, yellow, and blue marker ALL OVER MY TAN COUCH about 10 minutes after this was cleaned up, and I told him that it was a "No-No"!!
