Okay, I'm obsessed!!

So as some of you know, I've decided to get my butt in gear after 6 years of talk and learn how to sew. Thanks to my Auntie Becky. (THANKS!) The sewing machine was purchased, the pattern for the new baby's bedding was purchased, and the fabrics were purchased-all for really good deals of course- and I'm rearin' to go! Sunday night I cut all of the batting for my bumper panels and pinned the batting to the panels. Then last night I was up super late-not that I would've slept anyway- and I cut all the patterns from my new pattern. (long story...) Then I attempted to lay out the patterns on the fabric and start pinning. Three hours later I was still confused, growing more frustrated because the pictures in the pattern instructions didn't make sense to me!! It was too late to call anyone for help, so I resorted to the internet. (Another addiction, I admit) I went to Yahoo! Answers and posted my HELP ME! question. Within minutes a wonderfully kind woman emailed me to help me further. I told her my dilemma, and she answered me back right away, solving my dilemma! Why didn't I think of that earlier? Anyhoo, I layed out the pieces of the diaper holder, and the crib organizer on the fabric, and got it all pinned. Still a little freaked out about starting to cut. Maybe because it seems so final to me. I don't know. Maybe tonight. I also found some tutorials on how to read patterns, how to stitch the basic stitches, how to tie the beginning knot in your thread, and so on. How amazing! I love the internet! I'm quickly becoming absorbed my this new found passion of mine. Not to the point where it's taking over my life, but I can see why people go into this professionally! I found three blogs that I frequent almost daily. Here's their links and once you go see for yourself, you'll see why I not only love their blogs, but why I'm so in love with the mere idea of all the possibilities that lay before me!! =o)
